Location: Forcewide, you will be traveling across property sites within the force area.


Hours/Contract: 37 hours, Permanent

The role


 


Here at Northumbria Police, we think our region is amazing! This could be the perfect time for you to join us in our Business Services Department as a Evidential Property Coordinator.


 


This is a fast-paced and enjoyable role where you’ll plan and coordinate daily activities for the Evidential Property team, managing proactive demand and acting as the primary point of contact. Your excellent organisational skills and enthusiasm for challenges will be crucial in ensuring smooth operations. Service delivery is key, so you’ll need to keep stakeholders informed and provide exceptional customer service.


 


What you’ll do


 



  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain effective communication and relationships with internal and external partners, acting as the primary contact for Business Services. You will monitor and evaluate a demand led service, identifying risk or areas which may impact on service delivery. 

  • Customer Service: Develop and implement customer service solutions to drive efficiencies and improve service delivery.

  • Service Delivery: Manage local projects to support force objectives, focusing on continuous improvement and risk management. This could include hazardous waste collections, drug disposals and conducting audits.

  • Resource Allocation: Coordinate cover for absences and resource allocation, ensuring all department functions are adequately resourced.

What you’ll bring


 



  • IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office software with the ability to quickly learn and utilise bespoke systems.

  • Planning and Organisation: Strong organisational and planning skills, with experience of co-ordinating tasks and activities with competing pressures and demands.

  • Problem Solving: Able to use your initiative to problem solve and make decisions autonomously.

  • Teamwork: Able to work as part of a team as well as being self-motivated and able to work independently.

  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to a diverse range of stakeholders.


 


You will need to have a full UK driving license and vehicle to travel between stations.


 


This is a varied role where you’ll also provide support to staff across the force. You’ll need be flexible with your approach and location. Whilst you will have an operational base, you will be expected to work at different sites as directed by your manager throughout the week to support both staff and operational requirements.

Terms of appointment


 


This is a permanent role subject to a six-month probationary period.


 


If you are successful in your application, you will have a six-month probation period with us where you will be unable to apply for any other post advertised internally or externally.
