We are extremely excited to be able to offer an amazing opportunity to join TeamNP as Vehicle Technician Apprentice as part of our Apprenticeship Scheme working in our Fleet Management Department.

We are looking for someone who has a keen interest in the automotive industry, who is enthusiastic and has a can-do attitude and ready to take on the unique challenges of working on police fleet vehicles.
You must be able to work well in a team and in a fast-paced environment.
Working towards a level 3 qualification you will be trained as an Automotive Service and Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle) Reporting to the Fleet Supervisor(s) (Operations).
The role is to provide a repair and maintenance service for emergency service vehicles. This will include routine servicing, repair and maintenance, fault diagnosis, commissioning and decommissioning of police vehicles as well as the installation and maintenance of specialist equipment and the completion of appropriate documentation and records, all of which must be to a high standard, to ensure police vehicles are available for operational use.
You will be given paid time off for to attend College for day release (term time only). You will be subject to a continued monitoring process for the duration of the apprenticeship to ensure the required standards of both Northumbria Police and the training provider are met.
Interested applicants must possess GCSE Grade C or above in Maths, English and a Science Subject
There is a possibility of a full-time position upon successful completion of the apprenticeship qualification.

Applicants must be a resident of the UK for a minimum period of 3 years to ensure vetting checks can be successfully performed. A job offer will be dependent upon vetting clearance, medical information and references.
