Head of People Services

We are seeking a Head of People Services to drive engagement and performance, helping us to deliver upon our strategic priorities.

What will I be doing?
The role will be varied, giving you scope to flex your diverse skillset – from leading HR and employee relation services; wellbeing and engagement management and the diversity, equality and inclusion agenda to talent acquisition services.
You’ll work to establish Northumbria Police as an Employer of Choice, promoting flexibility, job satisfaction and work-life balance with fair pay, conditions and recognition of contribution.
This prominent role will also lead the way in keeping the workforce safe and healthy, focusing on wellbeing, health-promotion, resilience and safe working practices.
What do I need?
We are looking for a strong leader with a track record of successfully delivering a range of key services at both volume and scale.
You’ll be looking for a career beyond the traditional aspects of HR and be passionate about true strategic transformation of a core public service.
You’ll have comprehensive experience in leading and managing a People Services function, including managing highly complex employee relations cases.
